Care & Keeping
Leather.
Wipe leather collars, leads, and harnesses down with a dry or barely-damp cloth after wet walks. Once a quarter, condition with a small amount of leather balm worked in by hand. Avoid harsh detergents and prolonged submersion. Patina is part of the design — your leather will darken and soften over the years.
Brass.
Solid brass develops a warm patina that many people prefer. If you want to restore the original shine, polish lightly with a soft cloth and a small amount of brass polish.
Stoneware.
Dishwasher and microwave safe. The hand-glazed finish may show minor variation — that is normal. Do not subject to sudden temperature changes (no oven-to-fridge).
Walnut.
Wipe with a damp cloth; do not submerge. Re-oil annually with a food-safe wood oil to keep the grain rich and the wood from drying out.
Canvas & linen.
Spot-clean with a damp cloth and mild soap. The Cloud Loft Bolster Bed cover is removable and machine washable on cool. Air dry.
Topical balm.
The Beeswax Paw + Nose Balm is for topical use on hands and skin and a dog’s paws and nose. Store in a cool, dark place; warm in the hand before applying.
